Delisle operates the Residential Placement Advisory Committee Toronto (RPAC) on behalf of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. RPAC is a mandated service under the Child and Family Services Act, designed to ensure that all clients in residential care are being well served.
RPAC reviews placements of all children or youth living in a facility of 10 or more beds for a period 90 days or greater. They also review the appropriateness of placement for every child over 12 years of age who objects to their placement.
Our goal is to advise parents, youth and service providers about their placement and what alternatives are available in order to improve social supports for at-risk children and youth.
Every year RPAC Toronto conducts approximately 110 mandatory placement reviews reporting our findings to the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
