Is this an emergency?

If you are in crisis and think you may hurt yourself or someone else,
you need to talk to someone immediately.

Click here for Crisis Emergency Information » and visit our emergency page.

Teen years and early adulthood can be a difficult time.

It's not uncommon to feel confused, stressed out, anxious or depressed.

Are you 13-20? Do you need to talk to someone? You can call Delisle to get counselling and support.

The first step is to meet with one of our counsellors. We will invite your family to join unless you think this will be a problem. Together with your counsellor you will set goals and develop an Action Plan to meet them. If you need something we can't provide, we will involve other professionals on our team or get you to the right resource.

You are in control of the process the whole way through.

Delisle's counsellors have lots of experience dealing with the kinds of stresses that teens and young adults face.

Here are some of the things we can help you with:

  • Mood-relate issues such as depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns
  • Self-harm
  • Suicidal thoughts or actions
  • Difficulties getting along with or communicating with your family
  • Relationship problems
  • Difficulties getting to school, managing school work or any other school-related stress
  • Coping with feelings like overwhelm, worry, anger, sadness, or grief
  • Self-esteem
  • Social isolation, peer-related stress, or bullying
  • Trauma (physical, psychological, emotional, or sexual abuse)
